Anne Rice has populated many a tale with her rich and colorful characters since she began writing the vampire chronicles.  I read the Vampire Lestat at age 14 and was instantly hooked.  Although I am still behind like 4 novels I still enjoy my favorite vampiric characters when re-reading the novels I own.

Tom Cruise's portrayl of Lestat was good, but i believe that Stuart Townsend captured Lestat's more impish side...the side I love.
